My oldest daughter surprised me this summer. She signed up for volleyball. Not a big deal for my most parents. But keep in mind my daughter is the nerdy type that doesn’t really like sports.
We went on a ride on Mount Hood Railroad’s dino train in Hood River. The ride was only 30 minutes, but then the kids got to play in the dinosaur-theme adventure park afterwards.
The family and I hiked up Mary’s Peak. It’s the highest peak in the Oregon Coast Range.
Check it out. My little monsters passed the security check and got to go inside a helicopter while we were touring a destroyer. Fortunately, the kids didn’t accidentally press the button that blows up things. I am so relieved.
My oldest daughter (8th grader) is in two bands at school: the regular concert band and an after-school jazz band. She got her first flute solo during her jazz number at her band concert last week.
These Bloco toy sets consist of foam pieces that can be used to build dragons and other animals. The kits are pretty neat.
