my little girl disappointed with her present

My oldest and youngest on Christmas morning

Can you tell who didn’t like their Christmas present? The youngest child didn’t care what he got because opening a Christmas present is a new experience for him. My youngest daughter, on the other hand, wasn’t exactly happy with the guitar I made her. She’s spoiled. Who wouldn’t be happy with a guitar made out of cardboard and rubber bands?

That is a cute expression, you will find her laugh at it in a few years from now.

Our American ideal that children should have all their wishes granted at Christmas can be quite unrealistic. I was lucky this year. My grandchildren all loved their gifts. It hasn’t always been that way in the past!
