We went to Mount Hood last month and there was still a lot of snow on the mountain, which is perfect for sledding. I kid you not, if you go sledding in your shorts, you’ll end up with snow in your underwear. At least that’s what happened to me. Call me weird, but I kinda liked it.
While parts of the country were/are experiencing record heat waves, we’ve had a very pleasant summer so far. Not a single day in the 90′s. I think our hottest day this year was only 87 degrees.
That’s hilarious! I’ve heard of spring skiing in short sleeves but this is the first year I know of in the bast 40, anyone has skied in summer. And yes there have been unheard of snow flurries in the Sierras in July and August. I’m happy for the ski resorts making a comeback after years of drought, but kind of wonder dare I ask… what’s next?

It’s winter here now, and snowing in most of the country (NZ). It is way too cold to go outside in my undies (plus not very attractive at my age).

It rained often early this summer, but only a trace amount in the last month and a half. We’re suppose to be in the 90′s this week.
